Ownera, a provider of institutional tokenised assets infrastructure, and Vantage Bank, a US community bank, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
In the agreement, the firms outline plans to explore the integration of their respective platforms — Ownera’s Open Collateral Network and Vantage Bank’s Hazel Network.
Additionally, the MoU establishes a framework to assess technical integration, conduct pilot transactions, and explore a longer-term commercial relationship.
The partnership also intends to combine Vantage Bank’s regulated tokenised deposits with Ownera’s interoperability infrastructure to support delivery-versus-payment (DvP) settlement, intraday repo, and collateral mobility use cases.
Targeted for October 2026, the proposed pilot aims to have Vantage Bank’s tokenised deposits serve as the cash leg in intraday repo transactions, paired against US Treasuries and tokenised money market funds (MMFs) as collateral.
The goal set out by the firms is to demonstrate the ability of regulated cash and tokenised securities to move across interoperable infrastructure, supporting liquidity management, collateral mobility, and settlement workflows.
Commenting on the agreement, Ami Ben-David, founder and CEO of Ownera, says: “Pursuing further integration with a platform like the Hazel Network raises exciting prospects for the thriving future of open intraday repo across financial markets in a multi-chain environment — delivering real value for the institutions using the service, and serving as a further example of tokenisation’s shift from a technology project to a form of operational infrastructure.”
Shawn Main, executive vice president and chief business architect officer of Vantage Bank, adds: “By bringing the Hazel Network together with Ownera and its ecosystem, we’re connecting bank-issued digital cash with tokenised asset infrastructure in a way that actually works in practice.”
