BitGo has launched its centralised control layer, BitGo Link, to connect institutional clients’ exchange accounts directly with its platform.
According to the firm, Link gives treasury and trading teams a unified way to manage their capital across BitGo and a network of other exchanges.
The control layer will work in tandem with the settlement and liquidity-connection capabilities of BitGo’s Go Network, expanding institutions’ ability to transfer and control assets.
Link intends to consolidate the cross-venue operational experience with portfolio-wide visibility, automated management tools, transfers routed through BitGo’s policy engine, and centralised governance.
Commenting on the launch, Mike Belshe, CEO and co-founder of BitGo, says: “Link makes BitGo the command centre for institutional treasury and trading.
“One network, no borders: governance travels with the capital, wherever it moves.”
According to the firm, the control layer is indicative of its “full-stack approach to institutional digital assets”, with regulated qualified custody and secure capital and asset movement through Go and BitGo Prime’s liquidity layer.
BitGo anticipates it will expand Link to further exchanges and treasury workflows in the future.
