ACI Worldwide, a global payments technology firm, is adding intelligent routing for Swift ledger transactions to its cloud-native payments hub, ACI Connetic.

ACI says the new capability will eliminate the need for separate digital asset payment operations by enabling banks to process both tokenised deposits and TradFi payments using the same operational controls, workflows, and infrastructure.

Banks will also benefit from unified origination, routing, and management for their payment flows.

ACI reports that the technology automatically selects “the most appropriate clearing and settlement path”, with the release coinciding with an increased demand for intelligent payments infrastructure.

Commenting on the launch, Craig Ramsey, senior vice president and head of account-to-account payments at ACI Worldwide, says: “Digital assets should extend a bank’s payment capabilities, not force it to build a second payment operation.

“Banks need a practical way to operationalise tokenised deposits at scale using the people, controls, and processes they already trust.”
