Anchorage Digital has partnered with Securitize for stablecoin issuance capabilities through Anchorage Digital Bank.
Securitize will mint and redeem stablecoins directly with the bank — which also handles custody and settlement — forgoing the need to use intermediaries for stablecoin sourcing.
Anchorage Digital Bank's stablecoin ecosystem includes USDtb — issued in partnership with Ethena Labs and backed primarily by the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund — and Tether’s stablecoin USAT, alongside issuance relationships with other institutional counterparties.
Commenting on the partnership, co-founder and CEO of Anchorage Digital Nathan McCauley says: “Anchorage Digital Bank is purpose-built to issue stablecoins at scale under federal oversight.
“Securitize is where the world's largest asset managers bring funds onchain, and now the dollars moving through that platform come from a federally chartered bank.
“Regulated issuance is what lets tokenisation reach institutional scale.”
Chairman and CEO of Securitize Carlos Domingo adds: “Working with Anchorage Digital Bank gives us direct access to digital dollars issued under federal oversight, custodied by the same institution that issues them.”
