Global research conducted by Brava Finance reveals that institutional investors are most likely to use stablecoins to access DeFi opportunities, with 78 per cent of participants having utilised stablecoins in this way.

Brava has launched its Stablecoin simple moving average, in addition to its first credit fund, which the company says offers institutional-grade access via a regulated Cayman vehicle, with the fund employing custody solutions such as Fireblocks and Northern Trust.

Research conducted across the US, UK, UAE, EU, Brazil, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, and Hong Kong, concluded that two-thirds of institutional investors and wealth managers claim to invest in stablecoins for portfolio diversification.

Additionally, 62 per cent use them to park funds in volatile markets, and 61 per cent utilise them for fast and low-cost transactions, with 35 per cent using them to generate yield from lending protocols, according to Brava.

According to the survey, 27 per cent of investors believe the increase in stablecoin launches by fund managers across the globe will increase dramatically in the next five years, with 68 per cent saying it will only increase slightly.

CEO and founder of Brava Finance, Graham Cooke, says: “We are witnessing a major evolution in the financial system as an ever-greater number of fund managers launch their own stablecoins, making the market more liquid, interoperable, and accessible to both retail and institutional investors.”
