Anchorage Digital, an institutional digital asset custody platform, has integrated with Puffer Finance, a decentralised liquid restaking protocol, to start supporting institutional access to liquid restaking.
The initiative will enable institutions to stake Ethereum on the Anchorage Digital platform and receive Puffer’s liquid restaking token, pufETH.
The firms say that due to tokens being received directly into Anchorage Digital accounts, the rewards earned will retain the ability to manage, transfer, or deploy positions within supported onchain ecosystems.
According to Puffer, its protocol is intended to reduce operational risk and expand validator participation, said to improve capital efficiency and simplify access to emerging restaking ecosystems.
Anchorage says the collaboration is indicative of its broader commitment to expanding institutional access to emerging onchain primitives within a regulated and secure framework.
Speaking on the joint initiative, Nathan McCauley, CEO and co-founder of Anchorage Digital, says: “Restaking is rapidly becoming a foundational primitive for the next phase of institutional participation in crypto markets.”
Amir Forouzani, co-founder and CEO of Puffer, adds: “Anchorage Digital’s integration brings the regulatory rigour, custody protections, and institutional controls that large allocators expect, making pufETH a compelling option for institutional restaking participation.”
