Clearstream, Deutsche Börse Group's post-trade business, is expanding its digital transfer agency (TA) offering, a blockchain-enabled software solution designed to transform transfer agency operations for asset managers and asset servicers while enabling fund tokenisation.

The solution is scaling further, through rollouts to new markets and full integration into Clearstream’s market infrastructure.

The digital TA solution is built on the FundsDLT platform, a fintech provider acquired by Deutsche Börse Group and fully integrated into Clearstream Fund Services as digital enabler of core services across the fund value chain.

According to the firm, through this integration, the digital TA solution and fund tokenisation capabilities are enhanced by Clearstream’s regulated fund processing infrastructure and global distribution reach, bringing scale, long-term growth potential and the ability to support broader market adoption.

The digital TA solution is implemented as SaaS with the client and automates core transfer agency responsibilities, such as fund issuance, ownership tracking, Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) integration, and corporate actions, supported by distributed ledger technology.

Olivier Portenseigne, head of digital for Clearstream Fund Services, notes: "Digital Transfer Agency is a solution that has already delivered tangible results for clients. By integrating its proven technology into Clearstream, we are enhancing it with the scale, security and regulatory robustness of global market infrastructure and setting a new standard for transfer agencies.”
