OKX, the blockchain technology and trading company, has announced the launch of Aave, a decentralised non-custodial liquidity protocol, on X Layer, OKX’s Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 network.
According to the firms, the deployment gives OKX Wallet users and DeFi-native participants access to institutional grade lending infrastructure directly onchain.
Aave can be accessed on X Layer natively through OKX Wallet immediately, with no separate wallet setup or bridging required, says the firm.
The firms report the deployment supports the supply of USDT0, USDG, GHO, xBTC, xETH, xSOL, xBETH, or xOKSOL for passive earning, borrowing without selling, as well as gaining access to more efficient capital with eMode.
Speaking on the launch, Stani Kulechov, founder of Aave Labs, says: “By expanding to X Layer, Aave connects its liquidity to a growing ecosystem of users and applications, making it easier to earn, borrow, and build applications on the network.”
