Archax Group, a UK and EU-regulated digital asset platform provider, has had its New Member Application from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) approved for its US subsidiary.

Archax Markets is now registered as a US digital broker-dealer with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), allowing the firm to offer private placements of both TradFi and digital securities, including tokenised real-world assets (RWAs), to institutional and accredited investors.

Registration also enables the firm to chaperone non-US broker-dealer offerings of securities in the country for major US institutional investors and those compliant with SEC Rule 15a-6, allowing foreign broker-dealers to conduct limited securities activities with US investors without registering with the SEC.

Archax Markets has set up a correspondent clearing arrangement with tZero Securities and tZero Digital Asset Securities, establishing the firm as an introducing broker and giving clients broader access to custody, escrow, and secondary trading capabilities.

Archax says the FINRA approval marks a “major milestone” in its global expansion, with a regulatory footprint now spanning the UK, EU, and US, in addition to its recent acquisition of a broker in Spain and the establishment of a Dubai entity.

Commenting on the authorisation, Graham Rodford, CEO and co-founder of Archax, remarks: “The Archax vision has always been global, regulated, institutional-grade access to RWAs.

“We want to continue to help support institutional market participants’ transition from traditional to digital assets and give them the regulated tools and services they need to do that.”
