SettleMint has integrated its Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform (DALP) with IBM Digital Asset Haven, a platform for wallet administration, transaction orchestration, and governance.

The partnership will leverage Digital Asset Haven’s capabilities and is designed to allow institutions, governments, and other regulated entities to manage tokenised assets throughout their lifecycle.

DALP provides asset-eligibility and transfer rules, aligning who sets policy, approves activity, and resolves exceptions.

Both DALP and IBM’s platform provide the tools for end-to-end issuance and delivery-versus-payment on a permissioned Ethereum Virtual Machine network, with institutional controls at each layer.

According to the firms, tokenised assets — including securities, deposits, equities, treasuries, and stablecoins — can be issued and managed throughout their existence.

Commenting on the partnership, CEO of SettleMint Adam Popat says: “Financial institutions are now looking at digital assets in the context of the systems, controls and governance frameworks they already use.

“Our work with IBM is focused on making that integration practical, so digital assets can operate within the same enterprise environment rather than requiring a separate technology stack.”

Kelly Pushong, director of product management for IBM Z and LinuxONE Software, adds: “As financial institutions move from exploring tokenisation to putting it into practice, trust, security, and control become increasingly important.

“Our work with SettleMint is an example of how we are bridging emerging digital asset opportunities with the needs of established financial systems.”
