WEMADE, parent company of the global blockchain ecosystem WEMIX, has partnered with blockchain companies Chainalysis, SentBe, and CertiK to form the Global Alliance for Korean Won Stablecoin (GAKS).
The partnership aims to strengthen the technical capabilities of WEMADE’s blockchain mainnet and infrastructure for KRW, StableNet, and drive adoption of the KRW stablecoin worldwide, according to the company.
Chainalysis will integrate Hexagate and Sentinel, its Web3 threat detection solution and transaction monitoring solution, in addition to its AI-based scam prevention solution, Alterya, into StableNet.
Moreover, CertiK will oversee security audits for StableNet, providing a block explorer in a bid to enhance both the transparency and reliability of the infrastructure.
Commenting on the alliance, WEMIX CEO and vice president of WEMADE, Shane Kim, says: “We will concentrate our efforts on adhering to global standards, while establishing top-tier infrastructure that is truly indispensable in the wider financial ecosystem.”
Ronghui Gu, CertiK co-founder and CEO, believes the collaboration will “drive the development of a KRW-based stablecoin ecosystem,” adding it will help Korea “build a safe, transparent, and globally competitive digital asset infrastructure”.
Vice president of Chainalysis Asia Pacific, James Ang, adds: “By joining GAKS, Chainalysis is committed to ensuring that StableNet is built on a globally trusted compliance foundation from day one, capable of detecting threats, mitigating risk, and enabling safe adoption at scale.”
