Through the collaboration, ClearBank says it will provide account safeguarding and on and off-ramping services to enable Bybit clients to manage their funds and move them between fiat and digital asset services throughout the EU.

Bybit is said to have chosen ClearBank due to its cloud-based technology capabilities and digital asset market experience.

As part of the expansion, Bybit is pursuing an Electronic Money Institution licence, allowing it to distribute electronic money, and is preparing to utilise ClearBank’s services in support of its entry into the UK market.

Commenting on the partnership, Tristan Kirchner, CEO at ClearBank Europe, says: “We supported Bybit EU’s launch in the region with secure, scalable banking infrastructure designed to meet the needs of fast-growing firms operating in complex markets.”

Georg Harer, co-CEO at Bybit EU, adds: “ClearBank Europe has supported us from an early stage as we built our operations in Europe.

“The strength of its infrastructure and processes has helped us establish the banking services we needed to get up and running.”
