S&P Dow Jones Indices (DJI) and provider of independent digital asset market data Kaiko have combined their index offerings, launching S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices.

Kaiko’s digital asset reference rates and multi-asset indices, along with S&P DJI’s existing crypto indices, will be rebranded.

S&P DJI will provide licensing, distribution, and benchmark administration, with Kaiko’s crypto-native data infrastructure forming the suite’s foundation, as S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices will operate on a single platform.

The combined offering will cover over 4,000 digital asset rates and indices, and existing financial products benchmarked to Kaiko reference rates — including exchange traded products, futures, options, and structured products — will be able to leverage the rebranded offering.

Cameron Drinkwater, chief product and operations officer at S&P DJI, says: “Together, S&P DJI and Kaiko are raising the standard for digital asset benchmarks.

“As the asset class matures, institutional investors need indices defined by transparency, rigour, and market relevance.”

Ambre Soubiran, CEO at Kaiko, adds: “S&P DJI and Kaiko bring what digital asset markets have been missing: a globally trusted benchmark brand paired with crypto-native infrastructure built for 24/7 markets.”
