B2C2 has partnered with digital asset infrastructure firm NextBlock to provide liquidity access to the South Korean market.

NextBlock will use NextRoute, its proprietary routing engine, to access B2C2’s liquidity in support of the regional institutional offering.

NextRoute provides smart order routing, instant settlement infrastructure, and block trade execution for liquidity providers, OTC desks, and institutional investors.

The firms say that their collaboration comes as the South Korean market shifts from retail investors towards professional firms.

Speaking on the initiative, Kane Yang, chairman of Kane Company and operator of NextBlock, says: “For nine years, institutional capital has lacked purpose-built infrastructure, as retail order books are not designed to process multi-million-dollar corporate allocations without severe friction.

“By connecting NextBlock to B2C2’s global liquidity, we are building the infrastructure needed to support South Korea’s next phase of digital asset participation.”

David Rogers, APAC CEO at B2C2, adds: “South Korea is one of the world’s most active digital asset markets, and the opening of corporate participation creates a significant new opportunity.”
