Nasdaq has launched Nasdaq Eqlipse Digital, an institutional tokenisation and digital asset connectivity platform.
Eqlipse Digital allows market operators to extend established infrastructure into digital environments, supporting tokenised issuance, lifecycle management, servicing, and connectivity, while maintaining institutional governance and control.
The platform also supports atomic settlement across stablecoin and tokenised rails.
Eqlipse Digital is designed to connect established central securities depository (CSD) and post-trade processes with tokenised issuance, settlement, and transfer workflows across both mainstream and digital rails.
The capability supports digital representations of existing assets and the native issuance of digital instruments, intended for operators exploring new models built on existing infrastructure.
Nasdaq says Eqlipse Digital is capable of working alongside other Eqlipse venues — trading, clearing, and CSD platforms — and also supports interoperability with non-native environments.
Speaking on the launch, executive vice president and head of digital liquidity networks at Nasdaq Roland Chai says: “Tokenisation will bring new digital capabilities into markets, but they won't scale as a standalone stack.
“They need to connect to the trading, clearing, settlement, and risk systems markets rely on today, so tokenised and mainstream assets can work side by side.”
