Bitget, a universal exchange (UEX) and cryptocurrency derivatives platform, has been added to New Zealand’s Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR)
The registration allows the firm to offer foreign currency exchange, domestic and cross-border money transfers, client asset custody, portfolio and money management, and the execution of financial products or FX transactions on behalf of clients within New Zealand.
Bitget says that the authorisation forms an aspect of its wider aim of building the operational and compliance infrastructure necessary for its expanding range of financial products, which also includes tokenised real-world assets and TradFi market instruments.
Through its UEX model, crypto assets, tokenised stocks, commodities, FX, and other financial products are available to Bitget’s clients on a single trading platform.
Commenting on the company’s regional approval, Gracy Chen, CEO at Bitget, says: “Financial platforms need compliance structures that can support a wider mix of assets and services.
“The registration adds another layer to our international financial services framework as the platform continues connecting digital assets with established markets.”
