GFO-X, a centrally cleared trading venue dedicated to digital asset derivatives, has appointed Sam Atkins as head of platform and market operations.
He joins the firm from ClearToken, where he was mobilisation manager, working on its Bank of England-regulated central counterparty application.
Atkins brings almost 30 years of financial services experience to the new role, including senior positions at BNP Paribas, Renaissance Capital, and Goldman Sachs.
GFO-X cites his “extensive experience across traditional and digital assets market infrastructure” as a key facet in Atkins’ hiring.
Commenting on his appointment, Atkins says: “I am delighted to be joining GFO-X at such a pivotal moment in its growth, as the business expands its product offering and continues to build out its platform.”
