Tether, Saudi Arabia-based fintech First Advanced Data for Artificial Intelligence, and banking-as-a-service provider BKN301 have partnered.
The firms will deploy Hadron by Tether, a platform to convert real-world assets (RWAs) into blockchain-based digital tokens, to accelerate the tokenisation of institutional-grade real estate assets in Saudi Arabia.
First Data will serve as the commercial lead, issuer, and primary market operator for the tokenised assets, with Hadron providing foundational infrastructure for issuance, management, and lifecycle administration.
BKN301 will support the collaboration by ensuring integration, orchestration, front-end, banking connectivity, and operational support services for embedding Hadron into First Data’s operating infrastructure.
Tether says that the joint initiative is indicative of its broader aim to foster institutional use cases for RWAs, in addition to contributing to Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification strategy, Vision 2030.
The firms also intend for their partnership to create a scalable operating model within the Gulf state, and position it as a “leading jurisdiction” for institutional asset tokenisation at both the local and international level.
Regarding the collaboration, Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, says: “At Tether, we believe real-world asset tokenisation will redefine the financial industry, making global assets more liquid, accessible, secure, and scalable.”
Nabil Al-Nuaim, chairman of First Data, comments: “By combining First Data’s local market expertise and relationships with Hadron by Tether’s proven tokenisation infrastructure, we aim to create new opportunities for asset owners, investors, and institutions while supporting the Kingdom’s long-term economic vision.”
Stiven Muccioli, CEO of BKN301 Group, adds: “BKN301’s role in this initiative is to ensure that Hadron by Tether’s tokenisation capabilities are seamlessly connected to the banking, payments, and compliance infrastructure required for institutional deployment.”
