TRM Labs, a blockchain intelligence firm, has appointed Claudia Hui as its head of compliance advisory, APAC, following almost four years with Revolut.
In her new role, she will work with financial institutions, crypto businesses, and regulators across the region on digital asset money laundering and financial crime detection and prevention.
TRM says that the appointment reflects market adoption outpacing compliance programmes across APAC.
Hui’s experience spans regulation, banking, and fintech, serving as the assistant director, payments at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, before heading compliance in Singapore at Revolut, and as a regional compliance lead at Qashier.
Commenting on the new appointee, Tom Armstrong, head of global compliance advisory at TRM Labs, says: “Compliance teams across Asia Pacific are being asked to make high-stakes decisions on digital assets, often without a playbook.
“Her appointment means our customers in the region get advice they can trust and act on.”
Hui adds: “What sets TRM apart is that its advice is grounded in intelligence no one else has.”
“I am looking forward to helping compliance teams across the region turn that intelligence into programs they can stand behind.”
