Accenture, a global IT consulting firm, has appointed Bob Zeglarski as its principal director, digital assets.

His new role will consist of helping global institutions navigate the transition from legacy infrastructure to DeFi technology, guiding firms through regulatory landscapes while implementing scalable digital asset and tokenisation strategies.

The move comes after Zeglarski spent three years with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) as associate general counsel and executive director, digital assets.

He holds a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University.

Regarding his new role, Zeglarski says: “Starting my journey as a lawyer ingrained in me a deep respect for regulatory frameworks and risk mitigation.

“Transitioning into executive leadership within the digital asset space has allowed me to apply those structural principles to the cutting edge of distributed ledger technology.”

He adds: “To my new team at Accenture, I am excited to get to work.”
