EDX Markets, a digital asset technology firm, has integrated YLDS, a US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)-registered yield-bearing digital security issued by Figure Certificate Company (FCC).
YLDS can be used as a collateral asset, designed to give institutions a greater degree of flexibility to manage capital.
EDX will also adopt YLDS as a treasury asset on its balance sheet.
According to EDX, the initiative enhances capital efficiency across its ecosystem and strengthens its commitment to regulated digital asset infrastructure.
EDX and FCC say the collaboration reflects a shared goal to advance market infrastructure that allows institutions to benefit from the accessibility and efficiency of digital assets.
Speaking on the integration, Tony Acuña-Rohter, CEO of EDX Markets, remarks: “Firms are looking for solutions that improve capital efficiency without compromising the regulatory standards, liquidity, and operational resilience they expect.
“YLDS brings these attributes together in a regulated, yield-bearing asset that remains transferable and available around the clock.”
Mike Cagney, co-founder and executive chairman of Figure, adds: “Institutions should not have to choose between yield, liquidity, and regulatory certainty, and with YLDS they do not.
“We see this as another step in the broader migration of traditional finance onto blockchain, and we're excited to build that infrastructure alongside EDX.”
Beyond the integration, EDX and FCC plan to continue exploring avenues to expand access to regulated digital assets and develop the supporting infrastructure.
