CURRENC Capital, a provider of onchain equity infrastructure and subsidiary of Currenc Group, has entered a strategic partnership with Securitize.
The firms will work with select listed companies evaluating issuer-sponsored tokenisation, in which authorisation and sponsorship of the onchain representation of public company shares is conducted by the issuer.
CURRENC will utilise the experience of its management team and the relationships of its parent company across global markets.
Securitize may provide participants with tokenisation and applicable capital markets infrastructure.
The partnership builds on Currenc’s tokenisation of its ordinary shares on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains in April 2026.
Commenting on the initiative, Alex Kong, founder, executive chairman, and CEO of Currenc, says: “Having brought CURR shares onchain, we understand the operational, legal and communications considerations public companies must evaluate when pursuing tokenisation.
“Through CURRENC Capital, we look forward to sharing that issuer perspective and working with Securitize to help other listed companies explore this emerging area of capital markets infrastructure.”
Carlos Domingo, co-founder and CEO of Securitize, adds: “Currenc’s experience tokenising its own listed shares gives it a valuable issuer perspective, and we look forward to working together to help more public companies evaluate how tokenisation can modernise ownership infrastructure and create new functionality for shareholders over time."
