Zodia Custody, an institutional digital assets platform, has added onchain asset manager Maple to its settlement network, Interchange.
Institutions can access Maple’s onchain credit markets while their collateral stays in segregated Zodia Custody wallets for the duration of the loan.
At launch, Bitcoin, wrapped Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana are accepted as collateral.
According to Zodia, Interchange was designed to allow institutions to deploy assets across venues without removing them from custody until the point of settlement, while retaining full visibility of their holdings.
Clients will be able to raise financing against digital asset positions without selling them, the firm says.
Speaking on the partnership, Anoosh Arevshatian, chief product officer at Zodia Custody, comments: “Bringing Maple onto the network is a signal that onchain credit is being built to terms that institutional risk teams can sign off on, and that is where we are focused on taking clients next.”
Sid Powell, CEO and co-founder of Maple, adds: “With Interchange, Maple is making its credit markets available to institutions whose collateral stays with their own custodian for the whole term of the loan.”
The firms say that Maple is available to Interchange clients as a financing counterparty.
