Western Alliance Bank has launched WA VenueX, its institutional financial platform, designed to provide real-time US dollar liquidity and support digital asset activity within a regulated banking framework.
The platform also supports 24/7 US dollar instant settlement and is available for eligible institutional digital asset businesses.
Custody, financing, tokenisation, and programmable financial services are in development and anticipated to be introduced in the coming months, according to Western Alliance.
Additionally, the bank plans to introduce support for broader stablecoin-related workflows on WA VenueX.
Western Alliance cites the increasing need for institutions to operate around the clock to match the speed of global financial markets as a driving factor in the introduction of its platform.
Commenting on the launch, Dale Gibbons, Western Alliance vice chairman and chief banking officer, deposit initiatives and innovation, says: “In addition to providing real-time US dollar liquidity, WA VenueX supports our ongoing deposit remixing efforts, contributing to a more diversified and durable source of funding while further strengthening our position as a leading banking partner to the digital asset industry.”
David Fragale, senior managing director, Digital Assets Group at Western Alliance Bank, adds: “With WA VenueX Network live and already processing billions in transaction volume, clients currently access always-on US dollar liquidity and can prepare for broader digital asset workflows as the platform evolves.”
