The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has appointed Aaron Katz as managing director for secure platforms, digital Assets, and AI enablement on the cybersecurity and resiliency team.
He joins DTCC following almost three years at asset manager TCW as head of security-driven infrastructure, and will report to its chief information security officer, Laura Deaner.
Earlier in his career, Katz served as director of cyber defence for S&P Global, chief information security officer at institutional digital assets firm Genesis, and senior consultant at Ernst & Young.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business information systems and classical languages and literatures from the University of Maryland.
Commenting on his new role, Katz says: “There is a tremendous amount happening across cryptography, AI, and digital assets, and an equally important challenge in turning that innovation into durable enterprise capabilities.
“I'm looking forward to this new chapter, and am excited to get started.”
