HashKey Holdings, an Asian digital assets firm, has partnered with Franklin Templeton to distribute its tokenised money market fund (MMF) on HashKey Exchange, the firm’s licensed trading platform.
The Franklin OnChain US Government Liquidity Fund (grBENJI) will be available to institutional and professional investors across Asia on the HashKey Exchange Earn channel.
grBENJI invests primarily in US government money market instruments and US dollar cash assets through blockchain technology.
The firms say that their collaboration is a step toward bridging TradFi markets with compliant digital asset infrastructure and supporting the broader development of onchain capital markets.
The partnership also intends to create scalable access for institutional and professional investors to tokenised financial products from established asset managers.
Commenting on the initiative, Haiyang Ru, CEO of HashKey Exchange, says: “By bringing grBENJI onto our Earn channel, we are directly addressing the surging institutional demand for compliant, real-world asset yield solutions.”
Chetan Karkhanis, senior vice president of digital assets client engagement at Franklin Templeton, adds: “Launching on HashKey is a key step in broadening our reach, tapping into their rapidly expanding client base of digital-native banking and wealth platforms alongside established institutional clients, while advancing our digital assets and innovation strategy in the region.”
Beyond the MMF, the companies say that they plan to continue exploring expanded access to tokenised markets and advancing compliant RWA solutions.
