TRM Labs, a blockchain intelligence firm, has chosen Ziqing Ang as its head of policy for APAC, bringing over a decade of experience spanning policy, financial markets, digital assets, and institutional business development to the position.
She will work with regulators, policymakers, law enforcement, and private institutions across the region to advance efforts against illicit networks and strengthen the response to emerging threats.
Ang began her career at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), working across financial markets development and reserve management for more than eight years.
She also managed fixed income portfolios and contributed to macroeconomic and investment research for Singapore’s official foreign reserves.
After leaving MAS, Ang entered the digital asset industry with Sygnum Bank as vice president of business development, before most recently serving as chief business officer at Bright Point International Digital Assets, leading its OTC brokerage.
According to TRM, crypto-related crime rose from approximately US$123 million to over US$103 billion between 2020 and 2025.
Commenting on the new appointment, Ari Redbord, global head of policy at TRM Labs, remarks: “This is a moment when the public and private sectors must come together to get ahead of the threats emerging in this region.
“Ziqing brings deep expertise and experience working across both the public and private sectors, and the credibility to bring regulators and industry together around this work.”
Ang adds: “TRM's focus on building a safer world is the kind of work I want to be part of, and I'm looking forward to working with regulators, law enforcement, and industry across the region to support responsible innovation.”
TRM says its new appointee reflects its continued investment in APAC and the growing significance of local policy expertise, as the frameworks are laid for a compliant digital asset economy.
