The Vault, an institutional digital asset custody and treasury infrastructure platform, has launched its cloud-delivered SaaS custody service.

According to the firm, the offering is designed to give financial institutions, asset managers, family offices, payment providers, and digital asset-native businesses the same cryptography, governance model, and policy engine that it uses in on-premises installations.

Keys are split into shares using proprietary threshold multi-party computation (MPC), developed in-house; signing runs inside hardware-isolated trusted execution environments (TEEs); and a regulated entity holds a seat in the signing quorum for every transaction, the firm says.

Clients can opt for either a hybrid or on-premises configuration, which can be changed without system re-implementation, and each of its three deployment models is hosted on the same engine.

The service comes after a year of integrations by The Vault, including stablecoin settlement, non-custodial validators, and a joint advisory programme.

Speaking on the launch, Artem Stopnevich, CEO of The Vault, says: “SaaS Custody uses the same MPC engine, the same TEE-isolated signing and the same co-signer quorum as our on-premises product.

“A client can be live this month and can take the whole setup in-house on the day their board or their regulator asks for it.”
