Cronin exits Zodia Custody

John Cronin has departed his role as CEO Ireland at Zodia Custody, after four years at the firm.
He was responsible for supervising the company’s overall growth strategy, organisational leadership, financial and organisational management, and marketing and sales efforts across the EU and the globe.
Prior to this he was chief operating officer and co-founder at 1Alts, a digital asset management platform.
For almost 22 years, he was a director at PwC, where he held different leadership positions in advisory services, including as trust and transparency leader, asset management advisory leader, and internal roles such as group head of finance and operations.
Cronin comments via LinkedIn: “I’ve had the privilege of working with some outstanding colleagues, clients, and partners along the way and I look back on those relationships and experiences with real fondness.
“I have such warm memories of building this business — from those early days in our tiny first office in Victoria with the Zodia OGs — Maxime de Guillebon, Preete Janda, Alasdair Pitt, Chris Kiew-Smith, Luke Dorney, Greg Vosper, David Shu, Thierry Janaudy, Olivier Relandeau, Anoosh Arevshatian, Jo Lee, Marine Audrieu, John Coyle, Nita Mistry— to building our Go-to-Market (GTM), and Sales team with Richard Clark to growing the European office with Niamh Byrne, Jennifer Fisher, Emma Murphy, Thomas OZENDA, Dean Clarke, and Valentin Lambert.
“It’s been a special time with special people and has given me a strong foundation for what comes next. Zodia’s position as a leading institutional player in digital asset custody will continue under Julian Sawyer and the group leadership team, whilst the European business is in the capable hands of Ami Nagata and Paul de Ruiter.”
