Whelan joins WisdomTree

John Whelan has been appointed by WisdomTree as its head of strategy for digital assets, following a decade at Santander as managing director of digital assets.
Whelan brings over two decades' worth of financial services sector experience with him to his new role, including stints at Fnality International and the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance.
He obtained a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from DePaul Driehaus College of Business.
Commenting on his appointment, Whelan says: “As regulatory clarity improves and adoption across the financial industry accelerates, the opportunity to build institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure has never been more compelling.”
