Ramachandran joins Standard Chartered

Standard Chartered has appointed Hari Ramachandran as product director, digital assets and DLT, following just under a year with Zand, a UAE-based digital bank, as product lead, digital assets.

Ramachandran’s responsibilities will span investment banking, digital banking, fintech, crypto, and digital assets.

He has spent the last seven years working across stablecoins, custody, and tokenisation at Zand, Stablpay, and Paxos.

Ramachandran also spent almost a decade at Goldman Sachs as vice president, operations.

He was educated at the University of Mumbai, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Account and Related Services, along with a Master’s degree in Finance from IBS Hyderabad.

Commenting on his appointment, Ramachandran says: “Looking forward to learning, building, and working with talented colleagues as we continue shaping the future of digital assets.”
