SCRYPT, a Swiss-licensed provider of institutional digital asset infrastructure, has appointed Vivek Maurya as its head of engineering, bringing over two decades of experience across financial services, cloud infrastructure, AI, and blockchain.

Maurya will lead the firm’s engineering function and continue the build-out of its infrastructure spanning digital asset services and stablecoin payment solutions.

Prior to joining SCRYPT, he spent two years as a software engineering manager at Coinbase.

Maurya has also held senior positions at Netflix and Capital One, in addition to founding his own digital engineering firm, Propellyr.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from DR Bhim Rao Ambedkar University.

Speaking on the appointment, Norman Wooding, SCRYPT’s founder and CEO, says: “We worked together previously across data, DeFi, and AI, so I knew exactly what SCRYPT was getting: an entrepreneur's mindset paired with a relentless get-it-done attitude.”
