Oracle platform Chainlink has acquired Atlas from FastLane, a blockchain development company, bringing the flow and recapture solution under the Chainlink standard.

Atlas enables DeFi protocols to recapture value by powering application-specific order flow auctions, according to FastLane.

The solution’s order flow technology has been integrated into Chainlink Smart Value Recapture (SVR), intended to increase revenue available for the DeFi economy through its expansion to new blockchain ecosystems, according to Chainlink.

FastLane says the decision to place Atlas’s development under Chainlink’s control is due to the network’s security and reliability, in addition to its decentralised oracle network infrastructure.

Moreover, the Atlas acquisition aims to accelerate Chainlink SVR’s multi-chain expansion.

Johann Eid, chief business officer at Chainlink Labs, is “thrilled to welcome Atlas into the Chainlink standard,” adding that the unification of Atlas’s order flow auction technology with its SVR “creates the most effective value recapture system DeFi has ever had”.

CEO of FastLane, Alex Watts, believes the combining of the two companies' technology will create “the most credible path for DeFi protocols to recapture value onchain at scale”.

FastLane plans to continue functioning independently, but will serve as a partner to Chainlink in supporting both the operation and adoption of Atlas.
