Elliptic, a blockchain analytics and compliance firm, has updated its continuous monitoring offering to increase the integrity of its clients' crypto risk posture.

The revision aims to reduce dependence on point-in-time screenings and time spent on manual rescreening and alert triage through monitoring that displays the current reality.

According to Elliptic, its updated offering displays material changes in inflow or outflow; screened addresses changing or merging into a different cluster; and label changes on a counterparty, several hops from, or directly on, a screened address.

The firm says that clients can configure the service’s alerts based on risk-score thresholds and deltas, risk rules, and screening-type filters.

Commenting on the initiative, Jackson Hull, chief technology officer and chief operating officer at Elliptic, says: “Monitoring obligations on money laundering report officers are getting more stringent, putting both their companies and, sometimes, themselves at risk.

“We’ve built continuous monitoring to cover the full range of events that change a customer's risk, and to alert only when it matters, fully configurable to their own rules.”
