Komainu, a digital asset custodian, and Gate, a cryptocurrency exchange, expand beyond their Off-Exchange Settlement (OES) partnership, to now enable institutional clients to trade simultaneously across nine major exchanges.

Clients can trade across Gate, Binance, Bybit, OKX, Deribit, Kraken, Hyperliquid, Lighter, and Aster.

Building on the deployment of OES through Komainu Connect, the two firms are integrating Komainu’s institutional custody infrastructure with Gate’s CrossEx product, a cross-exchange trading solution, that enables unified margin management while keeping assets in regulated, segregated custody.

Through OES, the firms say client assets remain held in regulated, segregated custody with Komainu while trading activity occurs on Gate, removing the need to transfer assets onto the exchange and reduce operational and counterparty risk.

Additionally, the firms say the integration of CrossEx allows trade through a single API connection, without needing to deposit, manage, or reconcile margins at each venue.

The integration addresses the challenge quantitative funds, asset managers, and market makers face with capital fragmentation across multiple exchanges, notes the firms.

Further venue integrations are planned for later in the year.
