Blockchain Ireland appoints O’Loughlin

Blockchain Ireland has announced that Michael O’Loughlin, a managing partner at Argonautic Global, has joined its board of directors.

O’Louhglin has worked at several fintechs and associations, including Token.io, CGI, and the Arab Monetary Fund, in addition to a number of articles written for Forbes, focusing on digital assets.

His current role predominantly focuses on investments across fintech, AI, and emerging financial infrastructure, bringing over two decades of experience in banking, regulation, venture capital, and technology innovation with him to his new position.

O’Loughlin has advised the Saudi Central Bank on fintech ecosystem development and regulatory framework, in addition to working with a series of government, regulators, and financial institutions across Europe, the Middle East, and the US.

He was educated at Technological University Dublin, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in management and German, and Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin, doing international business, international marketing, and international law.
