Datavault AI, a provider of data monetisation and real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation technologies, has appointed Barry Childe as its chief information security officer.

In his new role, Childe will be responsible for leading the firm’s cybersecurity strategy and strengthening data protection across its platforms supporting tokenisation valuation and data monetisation.

He brings over four decades of experience to the position, spanning cybersecurity, high-performance security, cloud infrastructure, and DLT, having served as a distinguished engineer at HSBC, leading its blockchain initiatives.

Childe has also held senior roles at Barclays Capital, The Royal Bank of Scotland, and VMware, in addition to founding his own quantum-encryption firm, Arqit, through which he contributed to the development of enterprise platforms, including R3 Corda and We.Trade.

Commenting on the appointment, Nathaniel Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI, says: “Bringing Dr Childe onto our leadership team strengthens the foundation beneath everything we build.

“His decades of work in high-performance computing, cryptography and quantum-resistant security give us deep expertise as we scale secure infrastructure across tokenisation, valuation and data monetisation.”

Childe adds: “Datavault AI sits at the intersection of tokenisation and post-quantum security, two disciplines that will define the next generation of trusted digital assets.

“I’m honoured to lead security through this pivotal chapter and to support the safe deployment of the Company’s digital asset and tokenisation platforms at institutional scale.”
