Grayscale, a digital asset-focused investment platform, has chosen Sebastian Pulido as its managing director, head of onchain asset management.

In this newly created role, Pulido will lead the development of products and strategies that meet institutional demand for onchain investment solutions and report to Steve Vanourny, Grayscale’s head of index.

He brings over 15 years’ experience to the position, spanning TradFi, institutional blockchain strategy, tokenisation, and DeFi.

Most recently, Pulio served as director of institutional and DeFi business at Aave Labs, leading the firm’s institutional capital markets strategy.

He also spent just over two years with Onyx by J.P. Morgan, now known as Kinexys, and 12 years with Goldman Sachs.

Grayscale says the appointment reflects its commitment to delivering investor-focused solutions, coinciding with the growing institutional engagement with digital assets.

Commenting on his new position, Pulido says: “Grayscale has the scale, expertise, and track record to help define the next phase of this market, and I look forward to working with Steve and the broader team to further strengthen Grayscale’s role at the intersection of traditional and onchain finance.”
