Maha Al-Saadi has left the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority, a Doha onshore business and financial hub, after approximately three years as its head of regulatory affairs.

While at the QFC, she supported the development of Qatar’s first digital assets framework, including the licensing of the nation’s inaugural Token Service provider and first venture studio.

Al-Saadi also worked in tandem with the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) to authorise over 15 regulated financial services firms.

She contributed to the growth of the QFC’s regulated funds ecosystem and supported several Qatar Investment Authority programmes.

Al-Saadi says that these initiatives reflected the nation’s “ambition to build a world-class financial ecosystem”.

She holds a bachelor’s in banking and financial support services from Qatar University.

Commenting on her departure, Al-Saadi says: “None of this would have been possible without the outstanding colleagues, partners, and friends I have had the privilege of working alongside.

“For now, I am looking forward to taking some time to recharge before sharing my next chapter with you.”
